Our People

Our staff comprise social media specialists and very experienced engineering and management consultants. Several have over 30 years of experience and between them, proven records of successful projects and advisory activities completed in over 70 countries around the world. We can therefore provide extensive experience from a wide variety of projects undertaken for international organizations, Central and local governments and the private sector. Much of this work was related to management consulting services. The following sample descriptions of a few of our current staff illustrate the range of experience and skills we can bring to clients.

Dr Alan Ross, Chairman of DEE-Global

Alan Ross has 4 university degrees (B.Sc, in Civil engineering, B.Eng. in Traffic Engineering, M.Sc. in Management Sciences and a Ph.D. in Design and Implementation of Action Plans). He has over 30 years of experience in assessing needs and in development of strategies, action plans and projects. He is a recognised leading international expert in his specialist fields and has provided advice in over 65 countries. His international pro bono global advocacy work has included invited membership of a Global Steering Committee reviewing targets and performance indicators for potential application to Sustainable Transport (Some of these indicators were later included into the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)) He has also regularly participated in the UN Road Safety Collaboration (UNRSC) meetings at WHO which coordinate, support and  promote the aims of the UN Decade of Action to address the Global road safety problem. He was a member of the Management working group and the Monitoring and evaluation group. He is also pro bono president of the International Road Safety Centre (IRSC) which shares experience and expertise with low and middle income countries(LMICs) and is a Director of social enterprise (www.whatcanyoudo.earth) which seeks to encourage and assist individuals to take action on SDGs

He has advised UN Commissions, Development banks, Bilateral Aid agencies and Governments in benchmarking and in the design, implementation and monitoring of strategies and action plans in a number of sectors. He led the World Bank efforts to establish the Global Road Safety Partnership (GRSP) and was its Technical Director during its first year to get it established and fully operational in Geneva under the International Red Cross (IFRC).  He has previously also been Team leader on several regional multi country projects for ADB and EU and has assisted ADB and EIB  in developing their internal action plans to bring more road safety into their activities and lending programs. He has assisted EIB to develop an urban road safety loan for 5 of the largest cities in Ukraine.  He is the author of several international guidelines and manuals – several of which have been translated into other languages and are now in widespread use around the developing world.

John Stuchbery: Technical Director of DEE -global

John Stuchbery has a B.Sc, in geography and a M.Sc. in Transportation and Traffic planning. He  has a number of other qualifications from successful completion of training courses in management related topics (PRINCE 2 - Projects in controlled environments, MSP– Managing successful programs, MoR – Management of Risk). He has worked in 10 countries and has 20 years of experience in Public sector and 12 years of experience in Management consultancy. He has particular experience and interest in IT issues, Change management within public sector organizations and Performance Management through effective project management. His past work has focused on delivery of agreed outcomes and impacts and he has been a senior manager in a large UK Management consultancy.

In 2003/4 he was appointed an Associate to the Office of the UK Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM)  Strategic Partnering Taskforce and is a named contributor of the Strategic Partnering Guidance published in March 2004. In 2001 he led two Best Value reviews for Transport for London (TfL)  Street Management, which included a formal approach to options appraisal. Based on experience of The DEE Technique, John has experience of strategic performance management and strategy alignment - matching outcomes to corporate vision. He has practical Programme Director experience at Board and Ministry level, delivering challenging programme outcomes and motivating and leading teams through complex programmes of change.

John is a Director of the social enterprise Whatcanyoudo promoting action on SDGs. His extensive involvement in IT throughout his career is recognised by him being given responsibility for the management of the IT systems and solutions underpinning the DEE-Global family of companies.

Steve Smith: Principal Consultant

Steve has a B.Sc. in computing and an MBA. He is a very experienced IT professional and former Managing Director of a 100+ person Management Consultancy Division within a larger international consultancy organisation. He was also a Main Board Director on the parent international multisector consultancy firm. He has a successful track record of achievement in both the public and private sectors, including local government. His career includes practical IT services delivery, consultancy and business management experience at the highest executive levels. He has been responsible for the delivery of individual projects with values in excess of £50 million.

Chris Chetwynd: Principal consultant

Chris has a Diploma in Management, MBA in Management and a postgraduate diploma in Psychology. He also has several qualifications from successful completion of training courses in management related topics (PRINCE 2 - Projects in controlled environments, MSP-  Managing successful programs, PROSCI change management etc.).  He is a senior manager with broad experience in technology and managing change, project and programmed management and consultancy. He has worked in public and private sectors including Central government, Engineering, science, finance and marketing sectors.  His work has involved the integration of different initiatives and projects to bring about change within complex organizations frequently involving the exploitation of new information technology and related third-party and IT partner contracts. This has involved planning and management of projects and programs, program and contracts risk management, supplier and bit assessment, setting up frameworks for program and project governance, managing change and financial options appraisal. He has experience of contract procurement and management and in both commercial and public sector regimes, including a number of third-party technology outsourcing contracts. The formal management training backs up this experience and to enable him to apply practical problem frameworks and methodologies to address client needs. He has managed multi-million-dollar implementation programs.

Tatiana Reusche:  Consultant

Tatiana Reusche – Social Networking Specialist: Tatiana has over 20 years of experience in public and private sector organisations in project management, finance, web content management and social media marketing. She has extensive experience in social media marketing and in developing and implementing social media campaigns. Tatiana is presently managing WhatCanYouDo’s various Social Media channels (website, Facebook, Twitter etc.) including production of a weekly Newsletter to provide information to our followers on the latest news and developments on SDG related issues.For more information on our sdg promotion related activities visit www.whatcanyoudo.earth
